“ABCs Song” or “Alphabet Song” is one the best-known English language alphabets songs for kids across the world, especially in the United States. Boston-based music publisher, Charles Bradlee took the first copyright of the “Alphabet Song” in 1835. The eighteenth-century composer, Louis Le Maire was behind the musical arrangement of this one of the popular kids' songs.

“Z” is pronounced as Zee in the United States. However, in most of the English-speaking countries (including the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada) “Z” pronounced as Zed.
Lyrics of “Alphabet Song” are sometimes modified to accommodate the Zed pronunciation. In one of the variations, the second line is shortened and the last line is lengthened to form a near-rhyme between N and zed.
